Black Glass Coffee Table Decor and information

Question:

How do you get a stain off a coffee table?

I put a hot plate on my coffee table and it created a grey-ish stain on the wood. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Answer:

After reading my favorite book of stains, I came up with this: Furniture water rings, If you remove water rings while they're fresh. a little elbow grease and a soft cloth should do it. If they've been there awhile, try an oil based furniture Polish and a lot of elbow grease.
Being the hot plate would give of condensation underneath, I think this should help.

Question:

Matching a brown couch and black tables?

I have a brown couch and recliner (I believe the company calls it "mocha"). My girlfriend has a coffee table that is very modern looking, with glossy black legs, chrome lining, and a glass top. (She also has matching end tables that we may or may not have room for.)

Any suggestions for how to coordinate the two, or coordinate the living room they will share? We are looking for ideas for area rugs, wall art, and throw pillows. Thanks!

Answer:

i know houses that coordinate this with tan and maroon colors...take the mind off the colors with another color i guess.

There are also "mixed" rugs and wall art that have both black and brown in them as well.
